How to claim a rebate

First, you’ll need to pay for your glasses in full and then present the receipt we send you to your fund to claim a rebate.

Which Funds are we registered with?

For home visits, the mobile team is already registered with every health fund in Australia.

However, if you order your spectacles directly online (i.e. without a home visit) we are currently registered with the following funds:

  • HCF
  • MEDIBANK
  • MBF
  • TEACHERS
  • AHM
  • NIB
  • MANCHESTER UNITY
  • NRMA
  • AUSTRALIAN UNITY

We are in still in the process of registering with all the remaining Australian health funds for online orders. If you are not registered with one of the major funds listed above please phone us before placing an order for spectacles online.

What will I get back from my Fund?

  • The funds used to release this information to optometrists and dispensers so as we could assist you but unfortunately most funds no longer divulge this information.
  • It really depends on which scale you are in but as a general rule, you should get back around $160 for your distance or reading glasses and between $220 and $300 for multifocal glasses.
  • We strongly advise you contact your fund to find your exact entitlement.
  • Most distance and reading glasses from the chain stores cost over $300 and you get back about $160.
